VAISALA RS80-15GH WEATHER GPS RADIOSONDE

Manufactured by Vaisala in Finland as the model number RS80-15GH, these are a complete weather reporting radiosonde, designed to be hung from a weather / meteorological ballon.

Complete with an 8 channel 1200 baud codeless digital GPS receiver, 403 Mhz Telemetry Transmitter, Barometric, Humidity & Temperature sensors.

The device includes and is driven by a purpose designed aircell battery.

Beautifully engineered components, Air pressure is measured by a lovely little capacitive aneroid barometer; Temperature by a capacitive bead theromocouple; Humidity by a thin film capacitive 'Humicap'. Great units just to tinker with or a bargain if you are using them for their intended use as the usual price is close on £100 EACH !

The units are supplied new and sealed as from the manufacturer. In the photograph we show an unopened unit in its gold foil bag, together with an opened packed showing the sonde, silk string and battery, then several photos of the internal components, no wonder they usually cost a fortune !!
