Standard Plessey pots were used in many high end audio applications, these mil-spec versions are even better !

We took one to pieces to see how they are constructed, and they are superb. A wide carbon track laid down on a really thick moulded bakelite body. The wiper is a 3mm carbon block in a beryllium copper mount which ensures low noise and long life. Connections are heavy solder eye tags.

Body dimensions are 30mm diameter x 15mm deep, plus the shaft which has a 8mm diameter threaded through panel part which is 10mm in length, plus the control spindle which is 6.3mm long and the standard 6.3mm (1/4") in diameter. Electrical rotation is 280 degrees and mechanical is 316.

The actual pots given that they are in the region of 40 years old are in excellant condition, some of the panel locking nuts however do have very slight surface corrosion.
