Mylex's DAC960PD PCI RAID Disk Array Controller is for true hardware implementation of fault tolerant disk storage. 

The DAC960PD is available in 1, 2, and 3 channel versions supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 0+1 and JBOD. The 32-bit Intel i960 microprocessor and up to 32 Mbytes of intelligent read/write cache efficiently handle all disk storage management functions. Up to 3 Fast/Wide SCSI-2 channels, PCI bus mastering with up to 132 MB/s burst data rates. 

Advanced RAID features include: Cabinet Management (AEMI), Hot swap disk support, Transparent disk drive rebuild, Automatic error recovery, Variable stripe width. Advanced SCSI-2 features include: Disconnect/Reconnect, Tag Command Queuing.
