Manufactured in 1981 in the USA by Teltone, the M-927 was an industry standard part used in early multi-tone frequency modems and other telecommunications equipment, it is a hybrid thick film assembly housed in a white ceramic module.
  
Very distinctive, there aren't other chips that look like this, a very nice example of an early large scale white ceramic integrated hybrid circuit.
