KLIXON MINIATURE THERMOSTATIC SWITCH

Manufactured by Klixon in the USA as their part M213F071040512, these are a lovely military quality thermostat switch, with normally open contacts rated to 2A, which close when the temperature reaches 40°C (104°F)

Solder lug connections, size is approximately 16mm diameter (plus the connections) x 7mm thick  

The Klixon® M2 series of thermostats are constructed with a snap–acting bimetal disc that serves as the actuating element. As the temperature reaches a predetermined calibration point, the disc snaps to reverse its curvature, producing the crisp, positive switching action inherent to Klixon® thermostats. This feature assures precision temperature accuracy and long life reliability in any position.
 
No longer manufactured, these are real quality not often seen these days, often fitted to amplifiers and other equipment which requires cooling to initiate at 40°C.
