Manufactured by Bourns to military specifications  as part of the 'trimpot' range 224P-1-503, these are a sealed precision 50K Ohm 1W multi 22 turn preset variable wirewound resistor. 

Vintage quality parts and long obsolete, these are new old stock with heavily gold plated legs.
