Manufactured by Astec as their type UM1662, these are a high performance UHF modulator, with intercarrier sound.

 The UM1662 is a high-performance intercarrier modulator which is primarily intended for use in colour TV games and computer graphics. The UM1662 has good modulation depth, bandwidth and subcarrier intermodulation figures. Good subcarrier intermodulation performance minimises the on-screen bar pattern due to chroma and sound  subcarrier beats.
