33R 100W VARIABLE WIRE WOUND RESISTOR

Manufactured by Ohmite in the USA as part of the Dividohm range, their part number 210-100M-40 33R00K, these are a 33 Ohm 100 Watt wire wound adjustable resistor.

Vitreous enamel coating along which a strip is left uncoated to expose a portion of each turn of the resistor. The resistance is changed by moving the adjustable center sliding lug.

Not often seen anymore, very useful low value high power load resistor, they make an ideal voltage divider. The center sliding connection can be tightened up and 'set' once the desired resistance has been found.  

Overall dimensions are 165mm long x 20mm diameter, plus connections.

New and unused vintage stock.
